Job Description
As a Hair Care Product Designer for the India BU, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering new hair care products aligned with consumer needs and business goals. You will collaborate with cross-functional global teams, drive formulation innovation, and ensure product safety and compliance while leveraging digital tools
to accelerate delivery.Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver product solutions based on scientific formulation principles.
- Conduct lab and pilot plant trials, stability studies, and support manufacturing scale-up.
- Collect, interpret, and document experimental data with accuracy and reproducibility.
- Perform literature, patent, competition, and supplier searches relevant to projects.
- Collaborate with Claims, Consumer Studies, Legal, and Regulatory teams for project deliveries.
- Prepare technical reports and presentations; communicate with global teams to integrate new technologies.
- Utilize digital tools to optimize experiments and accelerate project timelines.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards in all R&D activities.
- Represent R&D in Project Network Meetings and track all R&D deliverables.
- Support TPL in executing projects, stakeholder management, and feedback on progress.
- Contribute to product savings initiatives, including alternate vendor development and raw material qualification.
Qualifications
- B.Tech/M.Tech in Chemical Engineering or Cosmetic Technology, or Postgraduate in Pharmacy/Chemistry.
- Minimum 2 years of industrial formulation experience (preferably FMCG).
- Strong understanding of product development principles, DOEs, and R&D protocols.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Good project management and documentation skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and digital tools.
- Ability to work independently in innovation projects and represent functional teams.
- Active learner, collaborative, agile, and capable of multitasking.
- Good people management and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Willingness to travel 10–20%.
