Job Description
As a Computational Chemist, you will be part of the Science & Technology – Physical Science team within Personal Care R&D at Unilever in Bengaluru. You will develop and apply computational chemistry and digital modeling techniques to build next-generation personal care products with measurable efficacy and sustainable impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with scientists on modeling and simulation projects, sharing results with stakeholders.
- Apply AI/ML and deep learning algorithms for material science hypotheses
- Conduct laboratory experiments to validate simulation results
- Streamline modeling workflows to enable faster insights and decision-making
- Stay updated on the latest materials modeling research and technology
- Build team capabilities in digital material design, development, and analytics
- Manage external research programs and data-driven material science initiatives
Qualifications
- B.Tech/M.Tech in Chemical Engineering or a Master’s in Chemistry, Physics, or Materials Science
- Specialization in modeling, simulation, and ML, or minimum 3 years’ experience in these fields
- Strong background in quantum mechanics, molecular modeling, and statistical analysis
- Experience with QSAR modeling, quantum mechanics, and DFT
- Ability to work in multi-functional teams
- Experience in experimental research, preferably in materials science
