Job Overview
The Executive Analytics (R&D Associate) will ensure dry pet food products meet MARS quality specifications by overseeing raw material quality, process monitoring, and compliance. The role involves managing analytical testing in the Quality Laboratory, supporting GLP, cost optimization, and implementing QMP (HACCP).
MSc Chemistry Job at Mars – Key Responsibilities
- Conduct proximate profile testing of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products (including new and complaint samples) using NIR.
- Perform Mycotoxin/Aflatoxin analysis with Chemwell-ELISA and HPLC.
- Test and release packaging materials per the defined test plan.
- Support the development and stabilization of in-house analytical techniques.
- Maintain trend records for analytical testing.
- Manage consumables for the analytical lab and coordinate procurement.
- Communicate the release status of RM, PM, and finished products to stakeholders.
- Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of lab instruments (including NIR).
- Coordinate and execute third-party testing requirements.
- Support the implementation of laboratory standards and procedures.
- Assist in internal audits, lab sanitation, and plant walkthroughs.
MSc Chemistry Job at Mars – Qualifications:
- Education:
- M.Sc. Chemistry (First Class), or
- B.Tech in Food Technology, or
- M.Sc. in Life Sciences (with Chemistry as a subject in B.Sc., First Class).
- Experience:
- 2–3 years in an analytical or microbiological laboratory.
- Preferably with experience in the food or Pharmaceutical industry.
