Job Description:
As a Communication Specialist, you will be responsible for preparing regulatory-compliant Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and labels for international clients. The role requires expertise in environmental, health, and safety regulations, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple assignments while meeting deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare regulatory-compliant SDS and labels for global customers (US, EU, CA, and other regions).
- Research and reconcile information from multiple reference sources and supplier SDS.
- Evaluate toxicological, chemical, environmental, and physical properties to determine hazards.
- Perform quality control and compliance reviews of SDS/labels prepared by team members.
- Provide regulatory consultation, compliance reviews, and training services.
- Assist in defining contract deliverables for SDS/label content.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Science (Chemistry, Biology, Toxicology, Environment, Health & Safety, Industrial Hygiene) or Chemical Engineering; Master’s preferred.
- 1–5 years of relevant work experience.
- Knowledge of at least two regulatory frameworks: REACH, GHS, OSHA, WHMIS, IATA, IMDG, ADR, ADNR, TDG, DOT.
- Experience in product stewardship, regulatory affairs, or EH&S-related software.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multitask, troubleshoot, and meet deadlines.
- Detail-oriented, reliable, and team-focused with a strong work ethic.
