Job Description:
As a Field Executive Trainee – Chemical – DMD, you will be responsible for ensuring safe and efficient plant operations while supporting field activities. This entry-level role provides hands-on training in chemical manufacturing processes, safety procedures, troubleshooting, and equipment handling. It is designed to help young professionals grow into skilled manufacturing experts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Follow safe operating procedures within defined operating ranges.
- Act as the first responder in emergencies.
- Suggest improvements for safety practices.
- Safely handle hazardous materials and plant wastes.
- Support housekeeping and assist contract workmen in safe operations.
- Monitor and control field equipment as per SOPs, SOCs, LLF checklists, and ODR instruments.
- Coordinate with the shift superintendent/panel executive.
- Collect and deliver samples for laboratory testing.
- Report abnormal observations promptly to the shift engineer/panel executive.
- Manage handover/takeover of equipment from maintenance.
- Perform condition monitoring with portable instruments (ODR).
- Carry out minor troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Contribute to waste reduction and efficient handling of chemicals.
- Ensure efficient operation of equipment.
- Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvement.
- Follow management practices like TQM, EFQM, QCC, and 5S.
- Maintain accurate shift logs for equipment and the area.
- Serve as a member of the Auxiliary Fire Squad.
Qualifications:
- B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Chemistry or Diploma in Chemical Engineering.
- Freshers are welcome to apply (no prior experience required).
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong housekeeping and waste segregation practices.
- Ability to maintain fire and safety equipment.
- Proficiency in using field logbooks and LLF checklists.
- Capability to monitor equipment health and report abnormalities.
