Job Description
This position is ideal for an M.Sc. Chemistry freshers with 0-1 years of experience. The role focuses on intellectual property management, specifically within the field of chemistry. The selected candidate will assist with various tasks related to patent analysis, documentation, and compliance. Training will be provided to help the candidate develop the necessary skills in patent and intellectual property concepts.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct prior art searches and analyze patent landscapes in the field of chemistry.
- Assist with the preparation and review of invention disclosures, patent specifications, and other technical documents.
- Coordinate with R&D teams to understand new inventions and evaluate their potential for patenting.
- Support the tracking of patent filing timelines, deadlines, and renewals.
- Maintain and manage IP databases and records in accordance with internal and legal standards.
- Stay informed on the latest developments in patent law, including WIPO/PCT and national patent office regulations.
- Assist in drafting responses to patent office actions under supervision.
Qualifications
- Experience: 0 – 1 years.
- Education: A strong academic background, including an M.Sc. in Chemistry, is required.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Excellent analytical and research skills.
- Ability to interpret scientific data and technical literature.
- Basic knowledge of patents and intellectual property concepts (training provided).
- Good communication and technical writing skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and familiarity with patent databases.
