Job Description
The selected candidate will work on an ANRF-funded project focused on developing functional composite membranes for CO₂ separation from industrial gas mixtures. The role involves fabrication, characterization, and performance evaluation of membranes, along with project documentation support.
- Position: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
- Number of Positions: 01
- Location: Department of Chemical Engineering, IISER Bhopal
- Duration: Initially 1 year (extendable up to June 2028, based on performance)
- Emoluments: As per ANRF norms
- Tentative Start Date: Immediate
Key Responsibilities
- Fabrication and synthesis of advanced gas separation membranes.
- Characterization and performance evaluation of CO₂ separation systems.
- Documentation and reporting of research outcomes.
- Assisting in project-related research and collaborative activities.
Qualifications

Essential:
- ME/M.Tech/MS in Chemical Engineering or allied areas with 70% marks / CGPA 7.0 and GATE/CSIR-UGC NET qualification (expired scores may also be considered).
- OR BE/B.Tech/BS in Chemical Engineering with a valid GATE score and 70% marks / CGPA 7.0.
- OR B.Tech from IITs / BS-MS from IISERs with CGPA 8.0 and above (GATE not required).
- OR M.Sc./M.S. in allied areas with a valid GATE score.

Desirable:
- Research experience in materials, polymers, or membrane synthesis.
- Hands-on experience with characterization techniques.
- Strong conceptual knowledge in membrane technology.
