Essential Qualification:

M.Tech./M.E./MS in Metallurgy, Materials Science and Engineering, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Production Engineering, Nanotechnology, Engineering Science, Engineering Physics, Ceramics, Electronics, Chemical Engineering, Energy Science, and related fields (First Division + GATE qualified).
OR -
M.Sc. in Chemistry, Physics, Materials Science, Electronics, Nanoscience, Forensic Science, and related fields (First Division) + GATE or valid UGC-JRF/CSIR-JRF/DST Inspire/UGC-NET/CSIR-NET qualified.
Tenure of Project: Maximum 2 years or till the end of the project, whichever is earlier. If the selected candidate joins the Ph.D. program, the fellowship will continue as per the academic guidelines of IIT Indore even after project completion.

Job Description:
The selected candidate will:

Synthesize high-quality steel and predict phase formation using CALPHAD software.

Investigate microstructure and phases in advanced steels using XRD, OM, SEM, and TEM.

Study the mechanical behavior, wear, and corrosion resistance of developed materials.

Perform casting, rolling, and microstructure analysis of steel (used in URUMI swords) and conduct comparative studies.
Note: Selected candidates will be encouraged to join the Ph.D. program at IIT Indore.
Desirable Qualification:
Knowledge and experience in casting processes and material characterization.
Age Limit: Preferably below 32 years.
Salary/Fellowship: ₹37,000/- per month (Consolidated).
