Job Summary:

  • Plan and execute the development and validation of analytical methods for new products.
  • Conduct comprehensive API and finished dosage testing per regulatory, compliance, and safety requirements.
  • Review laboratory data, instrument logbooks, and reports.
  • Initiate and track departmental CCRs via QMS.
  • Prepare and maintain Transfer of Analytical Procedures (TAP) documentation for various sites.
  • Archive regulatory submission documents like SOPs, protocols, and validation reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare project work plans and timelines.
  • Develop stability-indicative analytical methods for drug substances and finished products.
  • Ensure cGLP compliance and maintain departmental quality systems.
  • Perform method verifications, validations, and publish analytical methods.
  • Conduct analytical tests (assay, dissolution, degradation products, wet chemistry) for APIs, PE/PO samples, and submissions.
  • Lead lab investigations for OOS/OOT results.
  • Raise and track change controls for analytical activities via QMS.
  • Draft SOPs for operations and calibrations.
  • Participate in technology transfers and collaborative validation activities.
  • Troubleshoot complex stability issues and maintain regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of lab instruments.

Job Requirements:

  • Education: B.Sc. (5 years’ experience) or M.Sc. (3–4 years’ experience) in Analytical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, or Pharmaceutical Sciences.

  • Skills & Knowledge:

  • Proficient with HPLC, GC, spectrophotometer, dissolution apparatus, and wet chemistry.
  • Strong understanding of cGMP, regulatory guidelines, method development, and validation.
  • Hands-on troubleshooting for instruments and analytical processes.
  • Familiarity with LIMS and automated data systems preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
