About the Institution
Applications are invited for one post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in a SERB-sponsored project (SERB sanction number: CRG/2022/003370 dated December 19, 2022; BHU project number: P-07/1281) at the Department of Chemistry, Institute of Science, Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi-221005. The position is purely temporary and coterminous with the project.
Project Title:
Functionalized graphene-facilitated integration of M-N4, M-O4, and MN2O2 (where M = metal ions of Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, and Cu) systems for efficient O2 reduction reaction towards selective synthesis of hydrogen peroxide and energy conversion applications.
Duration:
- Up to November 2025 (extendable by six months, subject to ANRF approval).
Position & Fellowship:

JRF: Rs. 37,000/- + HRA (as per rules)
Educational Qualifications:
- M.Sc. degree in Chemistry (minimum 55% marks)
- NET/GATE qualified
- Experience in the related research field is preferable
Age Limit:
- Maximum 28 years for JRF
- Relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST/PH/OBC/Female candidates
- SC/ST candidates will be preferred as per GOI rules (if other conditions are equal)
