Job Description
As an Assistant Manager at PepsiCo, you will support the Specifications Management team in Hyderabad and collaborate with global R&D teams. The role involves developing, maintaining, and managing ingredient, formula, and packaging specifications to ensure compliance with international food safety and quality standards. You will coordinate with cross-functional teams, manage supplier relationships, and oversee technical documentation in systems like SAP and Product Vision.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and update ingredient, formula, and packaging specifications with accuracy and clarity.
- Maintain compliance with global food safety, regulatory, and quality standards.
- Collaborate with R&D spec teams, suppliers, QA, RA, FS, and procurement for specification alignment.
- Manage supplier relationships, gather required data, and ensure timely follow-ups.
- Upload specifications and documentation into SAP/Product Vision systems.
- Conduct packaging ICS reviews and manage supplier approvals.
- Ensure tasks are completed within defined SLAs and escalate critical issues when needed.
- Support testing requests and validate the quality of specification parameters.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Engineering, Microbiology, Biochemical Engineering, or Chemical Engineering (or related field).
- 1–2 years of experience in Regulatory, QA/QC, Food Analytical, or FMCG technical roles.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret technical information and escalate issues effectively.
- Proficient in MS Office and a quick learner of new applications (SAP, Product Vision).
- Excellent communication skills and collaborative approach across global teams.
- Fluent in English with attention to detail and accuracy.
