About the Role
As a Specialist in Process R&D, you will be responsible for synthetic route design, process feasibility, optimization, and regulatory documentation. Your expertise will directly influence new chemical entity (NCE) development while ensuring compliance with global safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Route Design & Scouting: Conduct literature reviews, propose retrosynthetic pathways, and identify innovative synthetic routes.
- Process Feasibility: Execute lab experiments with a focus on safety, compliance, and scalability.
- Optimization & Troubleshooting: Investigate impurities, troubleshoot challenges, and refine processes for efficiency.
- Analytical Expertise: Interpret NMR, LC–MS, HPLC, and thermal analysis data to support decision-making.
- Documentation Excellence: Maintain ELN/Lab records, generate technical reports, and contribute to regulatory filings.
- Collaboration & Customer Interface: Work closely with cross-functional teams, clients, and external collaborators.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry (Post-doctoral experience preferred).
- Experience: 2–5 years in process R&D, synthetic route design, retrosynthesis, or high-throughput experimentation.
Core Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of chemical process development and retrosynthetic design.
- Expertise in reaction mechanisms, impurity profiling, and process optimization.
- Proficiency in technical documentation and regulatory compliance.
- Familiarity with cGLP, cGMP, and industry safety standards.
