Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences (Pharmaceutics) or related field from a reputed institution
- Strong academic knowledge in pharmacetics
- Basic understanding of formulation principles and analytical techniques
- Familiarity with ICH, FDA, and EMA guidelines (preferred)
- Proficiency in MS Office and scientific writing
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Position Summary
The CMC (Formulation) Intern will assist in developing pharmaceutical dosage forms, conducting pre-formulation studies, preparing lab-scale batches, and ensuring compliance with GLP. This internship offers exposure to formulation science, regulatory requirements, and industrial R&D practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulation Development: Assist in designing and optimizing formulations for tablets, capsules, suspensions, and emulsions. Conduct solubility, pH stability, hygroscopicity, and compatibility testing. Select excipients based on target product profile.
- Laboratory Work: Prepare lab-scale and pilot-scale batches under supervision. Operate equipment, including mixers, granulators, tablet presses, and dissolution testers.
- Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate lab notebooks, batch records, and prepare technical reports. Follow Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with Analytical R&D, Quality Control, and Regulatory Affairs teams. Participate in project meetings and contribute to the formulation strategies.
