Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), Regional Directorate (South), Bengaluru invites applications for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and Senior Research Fellow (SRF). The fellowship is purely contractual and temporary basis and candidate will have no right to claim any regular appointment in CPCB. The applicant fulfilling the following criteria shall apply in the prescribed format:-

1. Educational Qualification:
   i. B.Tech./B.E. in Environmental Engineering / Chemical Engineering / Civil Engineering with GATE Score OR M.Tech. in Environmental Engineering / Chemical Engineering / Civil Engineering or
   ii. Post Graduate Degree in Basic Sciences, Environment Science with NET qualification

2. Age Limit: 30 years and 5 years relax-able for SC/ST/OBC/Person with disability (PwD) and for Women candidates

3. Place of posting: Central Pollution Control Board, Regional Directorate, Bengaluru

4. Tenure: Up to 31.03.2026 (Extendable on year to year basis)

5. Monthly Emoluments: Rs. 37000/- + HRA

02. Senior Research Fellow (SRF) – 01

1. Educational Qualification: Qualification prescribed for JRF with two years of research experience

2. Age Limit: 32 years and 5 years relax-able for SC/ST/OBC/Person with disability (PwD) and for Women candidates

3. Place of posting: Central Pollution Control Board, Regional Directorate, Bengaluru

4. Tenure: Up to 31.03.2026 (Extendable on year to year basis)

5. Monthly Emoluments: Rs. 42000/- + HRA

Other General Conditions:

a. The eligible candidates shall submit the duly-filled application attached herewith along with self-attested photograph/documents of Date of Birth, Mark Sheet and Degree Certificates for Educational qualifications and Experience Certificate from the employer, if any through email to zobangalore.cpcb@nic.in and anjana.cpcb@nic.in as well as through hard copy addressed to “The Regional Director, Central Pollution Control Board, Regional Directorate Bengaluru, “Nisarga Bhawan”, A-Block, 1st & 2nd Floors Thimmaiah Road, 7th D – Main, Shivanagar, Bengaluru – 560079” with a caption “Application for the post of JRF/SRF on the Envelope” on or before 06.00 PM 25th August 2025.

b. For attending Interview, payment of Travelling Allowance will be admissible only to the SC/ST category Candidates, as per rules

c. Application should be sent in hand written or typed in the prescribed format on A-4 size paper, attached as Annexure.

d. Unsigned applications or applications with incomplete information shall not be considered.

e. At any stage, if it is discovered that an attempt has been made by the applicant to conceal or misrepresent the facts, then such application will be summarily rejected.

f. The decision of CPCB shall be final in selection of candidate for the fellowship.
