Brief Job Overview:
This role is a non-supervisory position engaged in the synthesis and delivery of USP Reference Standard candidate materials and API impurities through the design and development of cost-effective synthetic routes.
Responsibilities as Scientist I:
- Conduct a literature search using scientific databases
- Design synthetic routes for target molecules
- Perform reactions on various scales
- Purify compounds using different techniques
- Troubleshoot synthesis and purification issues
- Produce quality materials
- Execute projects as per timelines
- Ensure equipment calibrations
- Follow lab safety norms
- Communicate within the team and cross-functional teams
Qualifications:
- MSc in Organic Chemistry
- 0-1 year of experience in API Process R&D/CDMO/CRO for Technical Associate or 1-3 years of experience for Scientist I
- Strong background in synthetic organic chemistry
- Hands-on experience in process development
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
