Ph.D. PROGRAM – August 2025 SESSION
Institute of Nano Science and Technology (INST), Mohali, invites applications from prospective candidates with an independent source of fellowship for admission to its Ph.D. Programme in the following three units:
Energy Environment Unit
In this unit, we focus on Electrochemical and biophotonic sensors, Energy storage devices, Gas capture and storage, etc.
Quantum Materials and Devices Unit
This unit’s research themes include Next-gen electronics
, Piezoelectricity, Energy harvesting, Microfluidics & Lab-on-chip, etc.Chemical and Biology Unit
The themes in this unit cover areas like Nano drug delivery, Tissue engineering, Nanomedicine, Drug resistance, Neurodegenerative disorders, and more.
ELIGIBILITY
To be eligible, candidates should have a background in M. Sc., M.Pharm., or M.Tech. in Basic or Applied Sciences, Engineering, or related areas. They should have qualified for at least one national examination, such as CSIR/UGC-NET, ICMR-JRF, DBT-JRF, or Project-Funded, as per INST rules.

Interested candidates must submit a hard copy of the application along with necessary documents to the given address, and also submit an online synopsis. Shortlisted candidates will be informed about the interview details via email.

The last date for submitting applications is 20th May 2025. Applications received after the deadline will not be considered.
APPLICATION FEES
Application Fees: Rs . 590/ for General, OBC, and EWS candidates, and Rs . 295/ for SC, ST, and PH candidates. The fee can be transferred online to INST’s bank account.
