ONGC is looking for promising, energetic and young Indian Citizens with bright academic record to join the organization as Class-I executives (at E-1 level) in the Engineering and Geo-Science disciplines.
The selected candidates will be placed in the pay scale of Rs. 24,900 – 50,500/- (to be revised w.e.f. 01-01-2017) an increment of 3% per year. Besides Basic Pay, the employee is entitled to allowance @ 47% of Basic Pay under Cafeteria Approach, Dearness Allowance, HRA/Company Accommodation, Mining Allowance, Contributory Provident Fund, Conveyance Maintenance, Substantial Performance Related Pay (PRP), Medical Facility

for self and dependents, Gratuity, Post Retirement Benefit Scheme and Composite Social Security Scheme as per Company rules.

Minimum Essential Qualification : Post Graduate in Chemistry with minimum 60% marks.

Note:

a) The courses offered by Institutions/ Universities through the regular mode should be approved/recognized by the necessary statutory bodies for employment to posts and services under the Central Government like Association of Indian Universities (AIU)/UGC/AICTE etc. Candidates who have obtained their qualification through the distance learning/ part time mode are also eligible to apply provided that their qualification is recognised by the relevant statutory bodies for employment to posts and services under the Central Government.
b) Calculation of percentage of marks in the qualifying degree is as per university/ institution rules.
c) Wherever CGPA/ OGPA/ CPI/ DGPAor letter grade in degree is awarded, equivalent % of marks should be indicated in the on line application as per norms adopted by concerned Univ/ lnstt. Please also obtain a certificate to this effect from the Univ./lnstt, which shall be required to be submitted at the time of interview. If university/Institute does not have the provision for conversion CGPA/ OGPA/ CPI/ DGPAor letter grade into percentage than the equivalence will be established by dividing the candidate’s relative grade with maximum possible corresponding scale and multiplying the result with 100.
d) In case there is no mention of specialization in the qualifying degree as required in the Minimum Essential Qualifications above, candidates are to submit a certificate at the time of interview from their institution/ university with a clear mention of their specialization in the qualifying degree.
e) Qualifications mentioned in the table above are sacrosanct. No equivalent qualifications shall be accepted e.g. AMIE (Mechanical}/ AMIE (Electrical}/AMIE (Civil} etc. shall not be acceptable as a Graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering/ Electrical Engineering and Civil Engineering respectively.
f) Students in the final semester of the qualifying course of study are also eligible to apply through GATE- 2018. If such candidates are short listed for interview and they do not possess qualifying degree (BE/
B. Tech etc) with minimum prescribed percentage of marks at the time of interview their candidature will be treated provisional subject to submission of documentary proof of having completed all requirements of completing the qualifying degree (BE/ B.Tech etc) with minimum prescribed percentage of marks by 31.07.2018. If they fail to submit the document by 31.07.2018 their candidature will be summarily rejected and no communication/consideration will be entertained in this regard.

Selection Process:

The selection process will comprise of the following:

a) GATE-2018: The desirous and eligible candidates having the essential qualification for the advertised posts are required to apply and appear in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2018.
b) The candidates possessing the requisite qualification for the advertised posts is required to apply and appear in the GATE-2018 subjects strictly as indicated above para 1.1 Essential Qualification & GATE Subject with Code under Eligibility Criteria.
c) The GATE-2018 Score in the subject mentioned against the posts of ONGC will be considered by ONGC for short-listing the candidates for the further selection process of Personal Interview as per the criteria decided by the Management.
