Applications are invited for a Junior Research Fellowship position in the Department of Chemistry, The Gandhigram Rural Institute, Gandhigram-624 302, Dindigul, Tamilnadu for The Gandhigram Rural Institute-Madurai Kamaraj University (GRI-MKU) joint Research Project sponsored by the Department of Biotechnology, New Delhi. The selected candidate will be permitted to register Ph.D. in Chemistry as a full time candidate at GRI. The project involves the synthesis of carbon nanomaterials and their application for the adsorption of biological species for the detoxification of toxic chemicals. The chemistry part will be carried out at GRI and the biological part will be carried out at MKU.

Project Duration : 3 years
Emoluments :
- Rs.25000 + HRA for first two years and
- Rs. 28000 + HRA for 3rd year (as per DBT norms)*
- (*Emoluments applicable to only qualified candidates)
Qualifications : M.Sc. Chemistry with 55% marks CSIR/NET/GATE qualification is essential
