Applications are invited for the Junior Research Fellowship (temporary position) in Organic / Medicinal Chemistry to work on a DST funded research project.
Job Title : Junior Research Fellowship
No.of.Posts : Two Junior Research Fellows (JRFs) (Project Assistants if suitable JRFs are not available)
Project Title : Novel Small molecules as selective and Positive Allosteric Modulators (PAM) of 5-HT2c receptor: Discovery and development of potential anti-obesity agents
Duration : The duration of the fellowship is initially for two years as JRF and then one more year as SRF. However, the performance of the candidate will be reviewed after the completion of every year and the fellowship will be renewed only upon satisfactory performance.
Pay : As per DST rules
Responsibilities:
1) Literature search.
2) Design, plan and execute experiments under the supervision of the Project Investigator.
3) Provide scientific support to the Project Investigator in his/her research activities.
4) Book keeping and maintenance of stocks and consumables.
Qualifications:
The JRF awardees by CSIR in Organic / Medicinal Chemistry. Or The NET/GATE qualified candidates having M.Sc. or equivalent degree in Organic / Medicinal Chemistry.
[Note: non-NET/GATE qualified M.Sc./equivalent degree (in Organic / Medicinal Chemistry) candidates possessing two or more years of research
experiences and published research work in international journals may also apply but will be considered for the position of Project Assistant only. Such positions will be filled if suitable candidates are not available for JRF positions].Application Instructions:
