Role Overview:

Achieves/exceeds sales targets for the Middle India Franchise within a designated territory, and in a manner consistent with the CREDO, company policy and goals.  The Individual Contributor is responsible for closing the sale and positively impacting customer satisfaction.  Has thorough knowledge of the Middle India products responsible, and maintains a good understanding of customers’ needs, as well as competitive developments in the market place. Develops long-term positive customer relationships, building loyalty and confidence in J&J Medical as a preferred supplier.

 
Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

Sales Turnover

  1. Sell Middle India products within a territory
  2. Provide weekly and monthly sales action plan to manager, reflecting the activities required in each account to achieve sales objectives
  3. Analyze sales reports to identify opportunities, recognize routine  problems; analyze causes and implement solutions
  4. Able to negotiate and close sales in routine situations, and with guidance when handling more complex deals
 

Territory Management

  1. Develop understanding of customer needs to identify sales opportunities
  2. Identify contract opportunities and work with colleagues to deliver
  3. With guidance, develop an effective and efficient territory plan
  4. Identify and train surgeons on new technologies and solutions through consult-in-surgery, one-on-one sales calls, one-to-many training sessions
 

Customer In-service Education & Training

  1. Work with manager to identify customer in-service needs and use of products efficiently  and effectively
  2. Develop and maintain strong relationships with all levels of customers
  3. Co-ordinate and deliver in-services education sessions
  4. Provide marketing inputs on customer’s needs
 

Account Management

  1. Prepare a plan to optimize account development and sales growth
  2. Identify key customers and decision makers
  3. Drive key growth strategies
  4. Identify and optimize cross selling opportunities and work with managers/colleagues to realize these
  5. Provide customer support on inventory, within company guideline
 

Product & Market Knowledge

  1. Develop understanding and continually enhance personal understanding of product’s features, benefits, correct product application and usage and anatomy, physiology and medical procedure knowledge, through practical experience, training programs, and learning from key end-users
  2. Able to demonstrate application/usage of products and differentiate them from competitor’s products
  3. Develop understanding of competitive products, their  features-advantages-benefits
  4. Gather information on current practices, behaviors and attitudes
  5. Vigilantly obtain usage data of all trained surgeons and monitor adoption

Distribution Management

  1. Develop/implement distribution network for assigned territory
  2. Ensure distributor financial health is as per agreed guidelines
 

Expense, Equipment and Samples

  1. Judiciously manage AR, operating expenses, (transportation, A&P,  entertainment, travel) while ensuring sustainable productivity
  2. Seek prior approval for budget variations
  3. Work within sample issue and co-ordination guidelines
  4. Agree expense budget/ guidelines with immediate Manager
  5. Plan sample and expense utilization to optimize usage while remaining in budget
 
Self-Development
  1. Identify specific actions to improve job performance in  specific areas
  2. Participate in nominated training programs
  3. Active self-learning strategies to maintain knowledge
  4. Focused effort to achieve high levels of performance in knowledge tests and competency assessments related to training
  5. Effectively apply new learning on the job.

Qualifications:
  • Science/ Pharma graduate with overall 3 Years of healthcare experience up to 6 Years
  • Individuals with local geography experience would be preferable
  • Biotech Engineer with devises sales experience preferred.
