IIT (BHU), Varanasi is a public engineering institution located in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, India. Founded in 1919 as the Banaras Engineering College, it became the Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University in 1968. It was designated an Indian Institute of Technology in 2012. IIT (BHU), Varanasi has 13 departments and three inter-disciplinary schools.

Name of the Position: Post Doctoral Fellow

Number of Position(s): One

Project Title: “Photolabile Protected Monosaccharides: Synthesis and Application to Oligosaccharides Synthesis Using a Continuous Flow Photoreactor”

Sponsor:  Max-Planck Partner Group, MPI, Germany.

Duration of the Position: One year. Extendable based on the performance.

Educational Qualification:

PhD in Carbohydrate Chemistry/Organic Chemistry/ Bioorganic Chemistry

Desirable: Experience in Synthetic Carbohydrate Chemistry and
Chemical biology

Upper Age Limit:  40 years. Age relaxation applicable as per Government of India (GoI) rules.

Emoluments: Rs. 36,000 + 20% HRA
