National Council for Cement and Building Materials (NCB) is an apex body working under the administrative control of Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India and is devoted to Research, Technology Development and Transfer, Continuing Education and Industrial Services for Cement, Concrete and Construction Sector for over five decades.

NCB invites applications in the prescribed format from self motivated dynamic persons, having relevant experience with potential leadership qualities for the various posts on direct recruitment basis, as per details given below for the year 2016:

Age, areas of experience and specialized knowledge/ skill required are as given below:

Group Manager (Chemistry)/Manager (Chemistry): 

  • Area of Experience: Candidates having experience in a research Institute / Lab / Cement plant and having knowledge of material analysis, R&D, product development, quality management, operation of advanced equipment for chemical and mineralogical analysis of inorganic materials preferably building materials i.e. cement, soil, sand, aggregates etc will be given preference.
  • Job Profile: Leading/pursuing the research work on development of newer and improved cements, fundamental and basic research on cements, utilization of waste materials in cement manufacture. Raw mix optimization and studies for improving clinker and cement quality for cement plants. Studies for solving issues related to clinker formation and cement quality. Applications of advanced instrumental methods such as XRD, XRF, DTA/TG, Isothermal calorimetry, optical microscopy in evaluation of raw materials and cements.
  • Age: Group Manager (Chemistry)-45 years, Manager (Chemistry)-40 years

Group Manager (Training):

  • Area of Experience: Candidates should have experience in their respective area of expertise in a reputed organization/research institute/laboratory/cement plant. Candidates having experience in comprehensive planning and organizing/conducting training programmes in cement, construction & related industries will be given preference.
  • Job Profile: Planning and organizing/conducting training programmes. Designing of course curriculum on different areas of cement and concrete. Coordination with industry for participation in training programmes as well as with external/internal faculty. Administration of training centre/hostel.
  • Age: 45 years

Group Manager (Industrial services):

  • Area of Experience: Candidates should have experience in their respective area of expertise in a reputed organization/research institute/laboratory/cement plant. Candidates having experience in event management (organizing seminars/workshops), public relations, image building, database management, publications etc. will be given preference
  • Job Profile: Planning and organizing seminars and workshops. Liaison with industry (national & international) and image building. Database management. Coordination for various NCB publications, website management, library management etc.
  • Age: 45 years

Group Manager (Quality Management)/Manager (Quality Management)/Deputy Manager (Quality Management): 

  • Area of Experience: Candidates should have experience in testing, calibration, statistical quality control, quality management, TQM, proficiency testing in cement/building materials/thermal power sector/process industries. Experience in implementation of ISO-17025/ISO-17043/ISO-9001 Quality Management System is desirable
  • Job Profile: QMS implementation and ensuring accreditation/certification in calibration and Proficiency Test (PT) services. QMS implementation as per ISO 9001 and ensuring certification. Total Quality Management and quality related services. Organizing internal audit/management review on various quality systems. Development of reference materials for equipment calibration. Organization of PT schemes on cement, coal, bricks, fly ash, building/construction materials.
  • QMS implementation in calibration and Proficiency Test (PT) services. Development of reference materials for equipment calibration. Execution of PT schemes on cement, coal, bricks, fly ash, building/construction materials. Application of statistical techniques and data evaluation.
  • Age: Group Manager (Quality Management)-45 years, Manager (Quality Management)-40 years, Deputy Manager (Quality Management)-30 years

Deputy Manager (Chemistry):

  • Area of Experience: Candidates having experience in a research Institute / Lab / Cement plant and having knowledge of material analysis, R&D, product development, operation of advanced equipment for chemical and mineralogical analysis of inorganic materials preferably building materials i.e. cement, soil, sand, aggregates etc will be given preference

  • Number as well as break-up of posts given above may vary as per actual requirement at the time of recruitment. Not all posts need to be filled if suitable candidates are not found.
  • The person already working with Govt./Public Sector Undertaking/Autonomous Body should apply through proper channel. Applications received after the last date for whatever reason, including postal delay, will neither be considered nor any correspondence in this regard will be entertained.
